The following four (5) Tests totaling 400 pts! The lowest score will be dropped!

Inconvenient Truth & Rebuttal Test (100 pts) This test comprises the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” by Al Gore and a critical rebuttal of its claims. Grading: 27 questions / 4pts ea. / Final Score + 2pts (e.g.  27 correct answers  x 4 = 108 + 2 =110pts; 25 correct answers  x 4 = 100 +2 = 102 pts)

Civil Action & Environmental Law Test (100 pts) After watching the movie “A Civil Action” students will use its message, the lectures about environmental law and policies, as well as statements made in the book about these topics to answer the questions of the test. Grading: 27 questions / 4pts ea. / Final Score + 2pts (e.g.  27 correct answers  x 4 = 108 + 2 =110pts; 25 correct answers  x 4 = 100 +2 = 102 pts)

Energy & Alternate Energy Test (100 pts) You will be tested on various forms of renewable and non-renewable energies, their development, consumption, feasibilities, etc. from lectures, book, and field-trip.  Grading: 27 questions / 4pts ea. / Final Score + 2pts (e.g.  27 correct answers  x 4 = 108 + 2 =110pts; 25 correct answers  x 4 = 100 +2 = 102 pts)

Population Test (100 pts) Biological and Human Population models, policies and the Demographic Transition Model from lecture and book are all part of this test.  Grading: 27 questions / 4pts ea. / Final Score + 2pts (e.g.  27 correct answers  x 4 = 108 + 2 =110pts; 25 correct answers  x 4 = 100 +2 = 102 pts)

Pollution & Toxicology Test (100 points).  Impact of toxins in the environment, their measurement and detection, as well as common pollutants and preventive measures from lectures and book will be tested. Grading: 27 questions / 4pts ea. / Final Score + 2pts (e.g.  27 correct answers  x 4 = 108 + 2 =110pts; 25 correct answers  x 4 = 100 +2 = 102 pts)
There are 9 Online Chapter quizzes worth 25 points each. The lowest score will be dropped. For details click on the link or red button to the left to go to the quiz taking page.

REMEMBER: Work must be completed AND submitted as a hardcopy by the deadline (NO E-mailed work). Absolutely NO work accepted AFTER the deadline, NO MATTER WHAT THE REASON!

COMPREHENSIVE FINAL EXAM (100 pts)
The final consists of 100 multiple choice questions, covering the material presented in the lectures and also in the book. Students with an average of 80% or better on the above 5 tests may opt out of taking this final. Their average test score will count as the Final Exam score.
