There will be 4 LAB EXAMS covering the topics of Biology, Meteorology, Geology, and Astronomy respectively. The EXAM with the lowest score will be dropped. You can earn up to 10% additional exam credit by turning in your completed activity labs / sections together with the INS2 LAB TEST EXTRA CREDIT LOG NO LATER THAN 24 hours before the scheduled exam. Credits earned for completing the labs will be recorded on the Lab Credit Log which will be returned to you. To receive the credit, attach the LAB Credit Log to your test on completion. The credit earned will be transferred to your test and the credit log and graded test will be returned to you. FINAL EXAM (100pts or 10% of your grade) or Final Exam SUBSTITUTION - Science Fair Judge
There is a comprehensive Final Exam covering subjects in Biology, Meteorology, Geology, and Astronomy. You may collect all your notes, labs, and worksheets in a folder called “The Finals Notebook” which can be used during the Final Exam. This Finals Notebook must be in hardcopy format. Qualifying Students can substitute their FINAL EXAM for FULL credit by participating as Science Fair Judge in a Public School Setting. In order to qualify for the Final Exam Substitution you MUST:
(A) Find your own placement as Science Fair Judge with a Public School.
(B) Complete the Science Fair Judge Participation Assessment in conjunction with a Supervising Teacher. (To download click on link or header)
(C) Have earned a grade average of 80% or better in the LAB EXAMS.
Students who do not meet these criteria MUST take the FINAL EXAM.
