LAB 7: MAKING THIN SECTIONS (50 pts)

You will be tested strictly on your analytical performance in a mineralogy laboratory. The test consists of density identification.  The closer you will be to the accepted actual value, the higher your grade will be. Time limit = 1hour for 3 Density tests using various systems. Closed Notes!

LAB ACCURACY TEST (50 pts)

This exam tests the knowledge of prerequisites that are required to be successful in this course. The exam is given during the first week of the semester. A study guide is available:

There are three scheduled LAB/LECTURE exams, worth 100 points each. All exams have a practical as well as a conventional component. You must be able to use tools and techniques learned during class and lab time.
