FIELDTRIPS & COURSE PROJECT

THE FIELD TRIP

You will be guided to collection sites for your Mineral & Rock Project including explanations.

Features and geology from the fieldtrip are used in the Final Exam. For example, pictures of a geologic feature to be investigated during the fieldtrip may appear as a slide on the Final for you to identify. If you have never been there, you will most likely fail that part of the Final!

It would be a good idea to bring a camera ( Cell phone cameras or cheap one time use cameras are o.k.) and do a photo series (with accompanying notes), which can be included (pasted) into your Finals Notebook as a study guide for the geologic features seen during the field trip.
